Barahona. Batey VII, Cristóbal.- El cadáver de un obrero del Consorcio Azucarero Central (CAC), fue encontrado en estado de descomposición en un campo de caña del ingenio Barahona.
Se infiere que el hecho sea el producto de un aparente hecho de violencia, ya que fueron encontrados al lado del cadáver cuatro casquillos y dos capsulas de un revolver calibre 38.
El cadáver encontrado en un campo de caña de batey 7, perteneciente al municipio de Cristóbal, de la provincia Independencia, corresponde a Rafael Efrén Martínez Sánchez, de 25 años, el cual fue identificado por su padre Rafael Antonio Martínez Vásquez, de 50.
Conforme a las informaciones el occiso es empleado del Consorcio Azucarero Central, cuyo cadáver fue levantado y examinado la tarde de ayer por el fiscalizador de Cristóbal y el médico legista Ramón Santana y Dany Medina Peña, respectivamente, así como el coordinador de homicidio de la Policía Nacional, destacado en Jimaní, capitán Percio A. Novas.
El médico legista no pudo determinar la causa de la muerte, debido al avanzado estado de descomposición del cadáver, pero se dispuso que se le practique una autopsia por forenses en el mismo para que sean determinadas las razones. En el lugar del hecho se encontraron cuatro casquillo y dos balas de un revolver calibre 38.
Se informó que la Subdirección Adjunta de la Subdirección Adjunta de Investigaciones Criminales, de la Dirección Regional Sur de la Policía Nacional, con asiento en Barahona, inició las investigaciones del caso a los fines de apresar al o a los responsables del hecho.
